Description

A faithful remake of the original classic computer game from the 70's and 80's, with a completely redesigned iPhone interface and gorgeous new graphics. If you remember playing this in the school's computer lab as a kid, you'll love the nostalgia of playing it on your phone!

Lemonade Stand is a simple tycoon style game. You are in charge of running your own stand where you juggle pricing, recipe, advertising, and amount of lemonade to make each day.

You have 30 days to see how much money you can make, but keep an eye on the weather forecast - a thunderstorm blowing in could ruin an entire day but a heat wave could send your sales soaring!

Whether you played the original or are trying it for the first time, you'll find this simple & fun economic simulation easy to pick up but hard to put down!

Features include:

- full remake of the original computer game economic models, including weather and random events

- "classic graphics" option for the complete old school, low-res experience

- digitized music recorded straight from the original 8 bit computer synthesizer.

- play the original 30 day game or an unlimited game in career mode

- choose from four different characters (2 girls and 2 boys)

- Adjust your lemonade recipe to best attract customers, and sell more during special events (conventions, marathons, parades, etc).

- displays money in local currency (Euros, Pounds, Yen, etc).

- automatic save & resume if you need to quit or get a call

- global high scores with Game Center support, see how you stack up against lemonade stands down the block or across the world!

- A great intro to basic business economics.

Included in the "Best iPhone Apps: A Guide for discriminating Downloaders" book by O'Reilly Media.

Nice Classic Update.

:
People: Lemonade Stand is a 30+ year old game that came packaged with the Apple //c. Yes, it's simple. Yes, it's old. But is it a spot-on emulation? Yes.

You don't get to know the hopes and dreams of all of your virtual customers, nor does the app dispense freshly squeezed lemonade out of a hole in your iPhone. If that's what you need, then go play the Sims or go buy a tub of Country Time Lemonade.

For retro nuts, the game plays like it should. The pacing is faster without the //c's disk read time but that's the only major difference. The updated graphics are a little too cutesy for my tastes, but the retro graphics are true nostalgia.

The review section for this game got trolled. It's an old classic, and you get what you pay for (and it's a fair price).

Memories of my Apple IIc come rushing back

:
If you were born after the 70's, you probably shouldn't buy and/or review this game. I wondered why the lower rating & then laughed at some of the absurd reviews from "modern" gamers.

Of course you don't actually mix lemonade, or wander around virtual streets setting up lemonade stand businesses while other people online join you.

This is the classic game from the 80's, back when our computers had less power than a calculator now. It's about nostalgia; not about current simulation games. If you ever played it on your Apple with the black background & green letters/"graphics" this will bring back your memories. If you didn't play the game back then, "Cupcake" or "Sim City" might be more your style!
